FAQs

Q: Will I receive confirmation that my child is registered for a camp or training session?
A: YES. You will receive a phone call to confirm your registration and answer any additional questions.

Q: What should my child bring to camp?
A: Residential Campers should bring plenty of soccer clothing, indoor and outdoor soccer shoes, shin- guards, rain gear, water bottle, sunscreen, alarm clock, all linens and pillows, bathroom items, towels, any medications necessary, and spending money.  Commuters should arrive dressed to play soccer in shorts, t-shirts, shin guards, socks and cleats or tennis shoes.  We recommend sunscreen be packed also.  Each Camper should bring a soccer ball and a water bottle; water coolers are provided at all camps. Each camper will receive a NPSE tee shirt and shoe bag at check-in and a written evaluation from their coach at check-out.

Q: Where do I register/check-in to drop-off and pick-up my child?
A: All camps take place at Reinhardt University. Once on campus, follow the signs to Soccer Registration.

Q: Will my child receive an evaluation?
A: Yes. All players receive a written evaluation from their Coach at the end of the week.

Q: Is there a trainer on site?
A. A certified athletic trainer is on site during all scheduled camps.  The personal health questionnaire must be completed in order for a player to be able to participate in any camp.

Q: Is there any free time?
A: Campers have a little free time during the afternoon and in the evenings after games end. They are allowed to use the game room in the student center or hang-out in their dorm rooms during these breaks. All areas are supervised by camp staff at all times.

Q: What type of supervision do you provide?
A: Overnight Campers are supervised 24 hours a day: on the fields, in the dorms and in the cafeteria.

Q: Are teams welcome?
A: YES. We will accept teams or groups at all camps. Please designate on your application if you are attending as part of a team or group.

Q: Are individuals welcome at Team Camp?
A: YES. Please designate if you are an individual attending the Team Camp so that we may assign you to a team of similar age.

Q: Is Goalkeeper training available?
A: YES. Goalkeeper training is available. Goalkeepers will receive specialized training sessions during all camps and then rejoin their teams for games.

Q: Can parents or coaches watch the sessions?
A: YES. All sessions are open to parents and coaches.

Q: Does my child need any spending money?
A: Residential Campers may need extra money for the camp Snack Bar or Reinhardt Bookstore.  Some campers may wish to order pizzas for a late night snack.

Q: Is water available at the fields?
A: An ample supply of water will be provided at all camp sessions. However, we strongly encourage all campers to bring a water bottle with them that can be filled and carried out to the fields.

Q: Are meals/snacks provided?
A: Nuno Piteira’s Soccer Experience provides all meals for campers during the week through Reinhardt University’s Dining Services. The school book store is open daily to purchase sports drinks and snacks. Pizza-by-the-slice and sports drinks are also sold at the end of each night in the student center.

Q: Where do campers stay?
A: All overnight campers are housed in the air-conditioned Reinhardt University dormitories. Campers are assigned two to a room. You may request a roommate on your application. Please bring single bed sheets, pillows and blankets. There are no telephones in the individual dorm rooms. NO televisions allowed in the dorm rooms; music is allowed. All dorms are single sex halls and members of the opposite sex are not permitted inside during the camp week. The residence halls are staffed 24 hours a day.

Q: What is the refund policy?
A: All initial deposits to the Nuno Piteira's Soccer Experience are non-refundable. A $100 deposit is encouraged to hold your spot in camp. All balances are due no later than the first day of camp. If you are unable to attend camp and give at least 7 days notice prior to the start of that camp, we will refund your payment less the $100 deposit. There will be a $20 charge for any check returned for non-sufficient funds.
